What precautions are in place due to Covid-19?
Are masks required to be worn while in the smash room?
- we require a mask to be warn at all times
- coveralls are only used once and not shared
- all frequently touched surfaces a disinfected
- all face shield are disinfected between each usage
-all gloves are washed between each usage
What's the age restrictions?
Persons under the age of 12 may not participate. Persons, from 12 years of age to 16 years of age may participate with the signed waiver consent of a legal parent or guardian and with their parent/guardian present during the event. Any person at the age of 17 and 18 may participate without a parent or Guardian present, but their Parent or Guardian must sign the waiver prior to the commencement of the event.
I saw a CD in my smash box that I wouldn’t mind having. Can I keep it or do I have to smash it?
Absolutely you can keep it! Anything provided to you to smash is yours. If you’d rather keep it than smash it, Please, by all means.
What do you do with everything once it’s smashed?
We recycle/re-purpose everything we possibly can. We have electronic waste recycles that come and pick up the e-waste that’s left after the smash. All the glass, wood and plastic that can be recycled is. Very little ends up going to the landfill.
Where do you get the stuff you smash?
We get our smashables from a variety of different sources. Garage sales, thrift stores, flea Markets and donations from people like you, and we appreciate it!
I booked the quad-core today, do we need to have 4 participants?
No, you do not. as for any of our packages, the number of participants noted is the MAX number of people for that package. Any number up to the max number is allowed.
Does everything that gets donated to you or that you acquire get smashed?
No, not everything gets smashed. In fact, in our front lobby we have a box. It is called the TGTS box (Too Good to Smash). Simply, we sometimes we get stuff that is just too good to be smashed. When we obtain these items, we put in the TGTS box for our clients to help themselves to. We donate a lot of items to local charities too!
Do you accept walk-ins?
Of course! But we do recommend calling ahead or making an appointment to make sure a room is available during your desired time slot. Because of pre-bookings you may not be able to get a spot.
What is your cancellation policy?
We do not offer refunds for no-shows or cancellations. However, for up to 3 -months from your original booking date, you may reschedule your appointment. Due to the preparation needed to ensure you have the best experience possible, we ask that you reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before the beginning of your appointment, should the need arise. If not, you may be charged a cancellation fee. Please do not be late! If you are late more than 15 minutes, your time slot may be given away and a cancellation fee may be charged.
Can I bring my own stuff to smash?
Yep! You sure can! We offer a BYOB (Bring Your Own Box) Package. Maximum Box dimensions are approx. that of a standard milk crate. Your safety is our top priority! All items will be inspected and approved by an SRO Staff member. Please No liquids, flammable items, hazardous materials, firearms or ammunition,food items and anything else that may be deemed to be unsafe will not be allowed.
What should I wear?
Wear lite, comfortable clothing. It’s a work-out and the rooms can get warm. As well, please wear closed-toe shoes. We will provide you with everything else you will need.
